Do not return the bird to the sea. Keep people and dogs away, avoid stressing the bird, and follow SAPREC’s instructions when you call.
What to do now
- Keep a safe distance and keep dogs or crowds away.
- Do not chase, feed, wash or release the bird.
- Take note of the location and any visible problem.
- Call SAPREC and wait for rescue guidance.
